His blog www.accorsistudios.com has articles and videos for more information. If you would like more information on The ArtReach Program through Accorsi Studios in Los Gatos, contact his studio at 408-33-PAINT or by email: michael@michaelaccorsi.com.

On why he chose the Blind Center to support for this glass piece Accorsi states,
"I’ve often considered working with individuals without sight to create, paint, draw, and collectively enhance imaginative thought. Routinely in the design phase of a painting, I have to close and cover my eyes to be able to form and shape the image I have in mind. In these moments, forming the details of an image of the subject is a challenge. In a way, I feel my inhibited with a lack of clear imaginative sight. Perhaps, this is in part from a dependence on transferring a painting from a live subject or photograph. My thought and complete guess is - a person with sight impairment has a superior imaginative vision, and a collaboration has the potential to be quite powerful."

Help make a donation to SCVBC to help make the day for those struggling with visual impairment.
